Gourmet Foods gone green

EEk! im sooo excited. David’s Gourmet is expanding… and working even harder to become fully eco-friendly

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new store in June:

The store will be on Bruce and Victoria (Just at the #86 cut off) in the old Dalton-Cowan building, in Kitchener.

We are pleased to be partnering with:

Fiddlehead’s Smoothy Bar and Coffee House
Fiddlehead’s Nutrition
Kara’s Organic Fruit
and The Healthy Butcher

We plan to open Mid July.

We are all proud to announce that all coffee cups, lids, containers, bags, and cutlery will be biodegradable. In addition, we will be selling and using Eco friendly cleaning, and bathroom supplies. Also, when possible we will try to respect the 100 hundred mile food philosophy.

All lighting will be high efficiency and we will be selling inexpensive reusable shopping bags

The main focus of this store will be eco-friendly and organic food products, along with truly healthier food choices that appeal to diabetics, vegetarian/vegan diets, celiacs, lactose intolerance, and to those that are just more concerned about what they are putting in their body.

In addition, their will be a smoothy bar, workshop, in house demos, cooking classes, demonstrations, samplings, and a great expertise and advice from each of the owners and staff.

The smoothy bar is my favorite feature. oh and workshops. I can cook… if the instructions are on the box 🙂
